CHETTINAD MAGIC - FT. UNNATI SILKS

Unnati Silks is a saga of 'HANDLOOMS FOR WOMEN' that began in 1980.An experience of three decades in silk and cotton textiles, Unnati has carved out a niche presence for itself in being the manufacturer, wholesaler, retailer and exporter of genuine silk cotton handlooms like sarees, salwar suits, kurtas, kurtis and other Indian ethnic fabrics.  

 Having a product range that is as varied as it is vast, handwoven and handcrafted, the devotion and dedication of talented ethnic artisans from across 21 states of India comes through in the products on display. 

Unnati silk sent across a beautiful chettinad handloom parrot green cotton sari with a kandanghi border merged with trendy colourful design and embroidery to create the elegant 'Chettinad magic'.

The distinguishing features of the Chettinad sari are its seemingly heavy look and the striking colours that are achieved through a deft combination of stripes, checks and colour contrasts.

  I did not brainstorm on how to drape the sari or what kind of blouse/crop top to pair it with ,I  wanted the look to be plain and subtle. A black sleeveless blouse and simple oxidized accessories was all I needed to style this sari and not to forget the contract bindi which did wonders to the entire look.  

This sari can be worn on every day basis. It is perfect office wear and considering the weather in Chennai a pure  cotton Sari is a must if you wear sari's on regular basis.
